Optimize resources across your entire cluster

We are thrilled to introduce Container Rightsizing Recommendations. Now you can get complete visibility into the resource efficiency of your Kubernetes clusters, making it easy to see which resources need to be optimized and avoid over-provisioning.

What’s New

The Container Rightsizing Dashboard is now available in the nOps Platform for teams that use EKS. It provides detailed insights and actionable recommendations on which container deployments need adjustment for optimal performance and cost.

Container Rightsizing Dashboard: Real-time View Into Your Cluster Efficiency

With nOps, it’s easy to view how efficient your clusters are and pinpoint excess capacity. nOps continually processes massive amounts of near real-time and historical data from multiple sources including your AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) for the most accurate, high-resolution view of your costs.

The Most Accurate & Transparent Container Rightsizing Recommendations

nOps continually monitors a large span of your granular historical data for highly reliable container rightsizing recommendations.

Review the high-resolution historical data backing each recommendation right in the dashboard — so you can take action with the utmost confidence.

One-Click Auto-Rightsize (coming soon)

Coming soon, you can one-click apply Container Rightsizing Recommendations in the nOps dashboard. Choose the approach that best suits your needs: maximal savings, maximal availability, or balanced.

No additional action or configuration is required — once you’ve taken a few minutes to configure the nOps agent, you’ll get access to the container rightsizing dashboard, recommendations, and one-click apply (coming soon).

How to Get Started

To start using nOps Container Rightsizing recommendations, configure the nOps Kubernetes agent. For more details, check out the help center documentation.

How it Works

  • You set up a k8s-agent that will work with Prometheus to collect and store data on your containers’ performance with a granularity that matches the CUR.
  • The agent runs hourly, picking up metrics/metadata from the cluster stored in Prometheus on the previous hour
  • The agent exports the data into S3. The nOps backend has only read-only permissions.
    • The data is saved in the nOps Data Lake using parquet format and hive-style partitioning.
  • We handle nOps recommendation engine processes your data to generate rightsizing recommendations for you to review.
